Charles Pemberton's Leyland name was David.
I visit his mom Mary Pemberton when I'm in Leyland. She used to be one of my father's dancing partners when they were teenagers.

Pam:
We moved to number 7 Church Road from Beech Avenue in 1951, I think. That house had been my Dad's Grandmother's house. After the remodel of Church Road to put the sidewalk in on our side, we sold the house to the doctors who subsequently opened the Sandy Lane Clinic. At the time we sold, the doctors were Dr. Raven and Dr. McDowell - can't remember any others. The upstairs was converted to an apartment, and the clinic receptionist and family lived there. We moved to Hargreaves Avenue. Frank

Magicman do you go to the blackpool convention, I enjoyed the last one.

Whoa - and you are, David (from a 'magic' point of view)??
I haven't been to a Blackpool convention for SOME years, but they were always enjoyable. I left the magic scene for a time, became a 'professional' magician working cruises and the like then specialised in children's entertainment and am 'stuck in that rut'. My early history, however, is Northern - and how!! Best of, Noel Mk.2

Hey Karen, is the Mary Pemberton any relation? Bryan.
17-Jun-2006, 10:19 AM
Hi Bryan .. I asked your Dot some years ago
but she wasn't sure. I'll ask Mary when I see her in August, they are an old Leyland family. Mary's late husband Charlie or Chuck was the son (I think) of Charlie Pem. ... he had the newsagents in Chapel Brow opposite to Louis Thacker's. Ciao Karen.
